This post is probably a few weeks late, but better late than never. The new fall TV line-up has begun and it is somewhat overwhelming. So many shows to watch-makes me a little sad that my books have begun collecting dust on my nightstand. At this rate I will finish Jane Eyre in January.
With my handy new iPhone I downloaded an app. that tells me when all of the shows are on and allows me to mark my favorites and gives me reminders of when they are on (thanks for tip Aimee’). I love it. If you have an iPhone it is the “What’s On” App. Here is my schedule.
Sunday:
Amazing Race. I missed it on Sunday, but I watched it online last night. I have always loved this show, but have not always made it a priority to watch it. I was happy at the end of the show because none of my favorites got kicked off yet. I think my number one team right now would have to be best friends Zev and Justin.
Zev has Asperger’s Syndrome. Which I had never before heard of and in the last week I have heard it twice (it’s mentioned in the new show Community, which I will talk about in a later post). People that have this syndrome have a hard time in social settings, but no one who has this is affected the same way. Zev says he usually needs to have a routine and he likes to be in the same setting, so to do the Amazing Race is going to be a stretch. After the first show it seems like he may really be able to overcome it.
Monday:
Trauma. Last night was the pilot of this new series. There are a couple reasons why I am giving this show a shot. One, I love Derek Luke. He’s had my heart ever since Antwone Fisher. Two, the show is set in San Fran. I love that city and that is one thing that I have definitely missed living here in Texas. And three, I am an ER fan. I loved that show, even when everyone else had given up on it. So, I feel like Trauma could really fill that spot in my life.

I thought the pilot was good. It has already started with some outlandish scenarios, but its TV and it needs to entertain me. And it did exactly that. I loved watching it and seeing the familiar landmarks. If I was in Cali, I would totally go to The City (what I call SF) and watch them film. So if you get a chance give Trauma a try.
Wednesday
So You Think You Can Dance. I have tried to cut my reality show watching down, but this is one that I refuse to cut. Dancing is something that has always been so fascinating to me and something that I always wish I could be better at, so its fun to watch a show and dream 🙂 It is so entertaining to watch all the different kinds of dance that they showcase on the show and the choreographer’s are just amazing. There have been many routines that have moved me emotionally. It is a great thing when a dance can move you to feel something. I was so excited when I found out they were bringing this show back for the fall because it is usually a summer show. If you like dance stuff and are not watching it, you need to jump on the hot tamales train!

Glee. This show begun to get hype in the spring. The first ad I saw, I knew I was going to be an avid watcher and a huge fan. In May, Fox showed the Pilot after American Idol as a teaser for the Fall kick-off . I, of course, fell in love with it. And was so sad that I had to wait until September for the series to begin. But at last, the wait is over and three episodes have aired. I am officially a “Gleek.” I have not purchased a shirt yet, but I will be.

The mixture of music and high school drama is thoroughly entertaining. The way they take pop songs and turn them into story telling pieces is so clever and the actors that have been cast play each part to a T. I cannot get enough of it. I have bought all the songs on iTunes and it is definitely a topic of conversation with my friends. I don’t know what else to say, but that it is so worth it and I hope you fall in love with it as much as I have.
I’m going to stop here. Thursday night TV is kind of insane. So, I think it will take me a whole post to just write about that. Until next time…PEACE OUT!
