…about Project Runway 8/07

Watching the show this week made me want to go on a vacation so bad…that’s not happening any time soon. Sad story. Resort wear is a little tricky at times and of course Project Runway makes it even more difficult. The big perk of the night though was Kristen Bell. Love her! Wish they would have shown her more, even if her joke wasn’t funny.

Another team challenge. Why!!! I know the answer. I’m just glad I’m not the one forced to do it. They do team projects because it creates more drama, which makes for good TV. Which is exactly what happened this week with “Poison” Ivy and Michael D. I understand that maybe Michael D. is not as technically taught as Ivy. But it sucked that she didn’t trust him so much that she hovered over him in the sewing room with her crazy stare. I wouldn’t be able to work in those kind of circumstances either.

Moving on to Casanova. Hilarious moment of the night was when he was talking about how Gretchen drew six large pictures to show what her garment was. There is a language barrier, he’s not blind, haha. Oh little Casanova, how he has grown on me. The bummer is I actually liked his look this week. And that’s what he went home for. I guess I am a “70-year-old woman sitting in a mall,” according to Michael Kohrs.

The pair I thought was going to go down in flames was Mondo and Michael C. I of course like Michael C., but everyone else hates him. So, when Mondo came in with the worst attitude, it was bound to be horrible. But it was the opposite. Mondo got to see how Michael can work and they became a great team. Mondo’s look just wasn’t a strong design. And I totally agree with the judges. It looked like something for juniors or from the sale rack at Forever 21.

My favorite team of the week was Christopher and April. They worked the best together. They have similar working styles and were supportive 100% from the very beginning. And April won, so yay for her. Definitely hope this gives her a confidence boost.

My top 3 designs were Christopher’s, Casanova’s, and Andy’s. I had 1 from the top 3, on from the middle and the one that got voted off. Obviously my style eye is everywhere.

But I gotta love the way Casanova went out, “I grabbed one ball of New York and New York grabbed one of mine.”

Until next time…PEACE OUT!

Quote of the night comes from Michael D: “It would be great to feel like you’re not a big doo doo head.”
