Hey there! So these last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind as usual. Here is the low down:
Two weeks ago my friend Aimee and I had an interview with Cares. They are an apartment life ministry. What they do is they find apartment complexes that would like to have a team of people to run events for residents in exchange for rent. Then they find a team of people who want to do that and put them in that apartment complex and it becomes a ministry for them. It’s a really sweet program. So, we had a 2hr interview and it went well. They called us back on Monday and let us know that we are in! Next step is training and finding us an apt. Hopefully we can do it in Las Brisas. Unfortunately I am a little pessimistic about this because there is already someone doing all of this, so I may have to move, which would be sad and annoying, but we will just have to see what God has in store, and if you look at my track record it is probably pretty clear that God loves to move me 🙂
With all this being said Aimee is probably going to be moving in with me this weekend! So ready to have a roomie again. And I am excited to see our friendship grow and have a teammate in all of this.
Church wise, I had my first conference call with Fellowship One, which is the database program that the church is going to be using. It was just an intro. conversation, but it made things so much more real. I am ready to start messing with the program and getting things all ready for the launch in T-minus 52 days! It’s comin’ up fast.
A few posts ago I wrote about how we were doing a 40 day prayer for the church. It is so cool to know that there are over 250 people praying for the church. If you would still like to be a part of it, its not too late. Let me know and I can add you to the list.
