OK…so day 1 of sxsw. Since every night is a late night we didn’t even wake up till lunch. We got ready and I took everyone to Which Wich, one of my fav. sandwich places here in town. We met Josh there. Good times. Then we headed over to the Cagle’s to see Amber the boys. Cayden is riding his bike with no training wheels now! He is growing up so fast.
We decided to leave a little early because Ash and Nick hadn’t gotten their writstbands yet. I was a little nervous at first, but when we got there, they were 2nd in line, so nothing to worry about. Wristband power!
After getting that all squared away we went to dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse. It reminded me a lot of Spaghetti factory from back home. Our first show of the night was The Elms. They are a band that I have known about since I was a senior in high school, so it was cool to get to see them live. They were pretty good, entertaining to say the least. After that we headed to see Bushwalla. He is Jason Mraz’s roomie and he is hilarious. You should definitely check him out. He hoola hooped, what more can I say. The rest of the night was spent waiting in line for the Decemberists, who I really wanted to see. I really like them. We got in only missing about 2 songs. They were amazing! I would highly recommend you check them out. After that we called it a night, the next day was going to be eventful. I’ll fill you all in on Thursday tomorrow. Until next time…PEACE OUT!
