…about TV for the week of January 17th.

This week in TV I watched the late night chaos. It has been a long while since I have watched any and all late night show. But for some reason this whole shebang has caught my interest.

Here is my opinion as concise as I can get it: I like Conan. And I like Jay. NBC has fouled up enormously. The whole things sucks for Conan. His dreams of hosting the tonight show came true for 7 months and were then taken away. It sucks a little for Jay because he wasn’t ready to leave The Tonight Show, but NBC didn’t want to lose Conan. End result…they lost Conan and played with his emotions as well as make everyone gang up on Jay. I mean, what is Jay suppose to do? He still wants to work like everyone else. Either he goes back to the Tonight Show, since they offered it to him, or he’s out of work as well.

OK, enough of that. Now “Normal Programming:”

American Idol: I still have not watched a complete episode of the auditions yet. I’ve had something going on each of these nights and I don’t have TiVo or a DVR. Hopefully, this next week is when I will be able to catch it. Although, no worries, I am up to do date with “Pants on the Ground” and the guy that split his pants. Hilarious. Hoping to see both of those at the finale.

Vampire Diaries: I know, I know. It’s a guilty pleasure. I didn’t want to watch it, but I got sucked in. I watched the first episode because it was free on iTunes, but then I wanted to find out what happened, so now I watch it every week. This week we find out something huge. I don’t want to ruin it for everyone, but the end is good.

The Office: This week was a let down. Everyone was so excited about it finally being back on air and it ended up being multiple montages of funny moments from the past. I laughed of course, but it was basically a filler episode.

Project Runway: This was a fun week where the contestants had to make an outfit for the models to wear at an industry event out of potato sacks. Some of the designers came up with beautiful pieces that no one would think were made from burlap.

Community: I love this show! It is funny consistently every week. I love Joel McHale, but I love Abed and Troy even more. They make the show for me and this week with Troy having a secret of taking modern dance…hilarious.

What I still want to watch is the new lawyer show on ABC “The Deep End.” I’ll catch it online sometime this weekend. Also lined up for tonight is the telethon. It will be on EVERY channel. I might even call in and see what celeb I get. And then Saturday night is the SAG awards! I just love award show season. Can’t wait to see who the actor’s pick as the best. Hoping they get more right than the Foreign Press did.

Until next time…PEACE OUT!
