…where I eat shaved ice.

I am a big shaved ice fan. But being that I have gotten the privilege of going to Hawaii and I have had some amazing shaved ice, I have not found any place that can really compete with Aoki’s on the North Shore of Oahu. Funny side note about Aoki’s. When we were eating there, a guy waiting in line in front of me had a tattoo that said Aoki’s with a shaved ice. It’s that good, that someone would do that, OK. Now you understand where I’m coming from.

On Mays here in Round Rock I have driven by this shaved ice place called Kawaii’s. One I have wanted to try it because I love shaved ice. And two it is named after a Hawaiian island, so it has to be good right? Today, was the day where I finally got to go. My good friend Aimee and I went to go pick up shaved ice for everyone. Well, actually Aimee drove and paid, so I was just kind of dead weight, but I’m paying her back…no worries.

This place is pretty amazing. It has sooooooo many options. And some cool ones too, like cupcake and wedding cake. I know it sounds weird. But they let you sample anything. I tried the wedding cake, it was pretty good. I think I will get it next time. For my first trip I wanted to go classic though, so I got the strawberry colada. And you want to know what made it even more amazing? You can add ice cream to it! Now some of you may think that this is really weird and let me tell you, then you have not experienced some authentic shaved ice because this is how they do it at Aoki’s. I was so excited! It was delicious. And they do not skimp on the syrup! Which is great because that can be a problem at a lot of places.

So when you come to visit me, or if you live here, this is one place that I will be frequenting. No doubt about that. Have a great evening. And until next time…PEACE OUT!
