…about Project Runway 8/11

Finally got a chance to watch this week’s show. Sorry about the lateness. One of my best friends came into town for 2 days, which left no time to watch TV. Let’s jump right in.

Challenges that cause the designers to have to make things for the everyday person usually do not turn out very well. But the prize for winning this challenge was pretty incredible. Heidi allowing the winners look to be in her own line AND to be sold on Amazon, what an opportunity!

I don’t think it should have surprised any of the designers that Heidi would come into the work room to give feedback. Especially since this design would be going into her own collection. She would want to make sure whatever it was would be up to par of the rest of her designs.

Mondo has been growing on me every week, but his attitude towards Heidi was crazy. I don’t know what was up with him. He needs to get more sleep or something. Gretchen’s attitude was uncalled for as well, but her actions did not surprise me as much as Mondo’s.

The shocker of the night was when Heidi revealed they would have to make 2 extra looks! 2! I think this was to cover her butt, to make sure she had plenty to choose from for her line. I’m glad they were all given more time and help from the designers of past, but there is one designer I was not OK being there…IVY.

This episode reminded me of why I don’t like her. She causes drama. And why she brought up the allegations about Michael C cheating was ridiculous. Project Runway has had to deal with cheating before, so I would be confident in thinking that if Michael really had done something, it would have been dealt with. She is a jealous person. And I think she did it to get more camera time; which made her look more like a witch than before. If that is even possible. Bringing it up to Michael C in the sewing room was also a way to get him riled up, which worked. But I don’t fault him for the language he used. If someone was accusing me of cheating on a competition show, I would have gotten really upset as well.

Gretchen. This episode again showed how two face she is. In the morning she talks to April about how horrible Michael C. is. And how it has been his time to go. But then she gets into the workroom and butters him up. I would be OK with having her go. I didn’t like her looks AT ALL this week. She deserved to be in the bottom 3.

This was the hardest challenge for me because I really didn’t like many of the designs.

April-NONE

Michael C: I liked 3 pieces, but not the whole collection.

Mondo: NONE

Christopher: I didn’t think his looks were as bad as the judges said. I would have liked to have seen Gretchen go instead. Sad.

Andy: He was the one person I liked all 3 outfits in their entirety. I totally agree with him winning. Yay!

The previews of next week seem like it is going to be a high drama week. Probably going to get some tears. Bring it!

Until next time…PEACE OUT!
