Well, here we are. Our last night in the hospital. We can’t believe it. We are so excited but it still doesn’t feel real.
On this last night, we stay at the hospital in a private room and do everything for Liv on our own with little to no help from the nurses and respiratory therapists. It’s like a little hotel room. There is a “bed” but we may be too excited to sleep. We will see.
We said a tearful goodbye to one of our primaries, Courtney, tonight. It was a hard goodbye, but one that will not be for long. We already have plans for Auntie Court to come for a visit.
Liv passed her car seat test today, easily. She made 90min look easy. She had her last echo on Saturday and it showed no more PDA! Woot! So happy that finally closed on it’s own. We received all of the home and travel equipment we need, so the only things that are in our way of leaving are picking up her last med and getting her first appointment with her pediatrician this week. We are hoping to bust out of this joint by mid-morning.
It is surreal to think the next time I blog, Liv will be home with us. We cannot wait to snuggle with her at home and show her all the things that are just for her.
