…about “What to Expect…”

Saturday I ventured to the theater and treated myself to a “birthday” movie. Actually my mom treated me because I used a gift card from Christmas, haha. I picked the seemingly funny movie “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” I figured how can you go wrong with the cast and the topic.

Two things that became a bummer:

1. For my birthday through AMC’s rewards program they gave me a coupon for a free large drink. Awesome, right? But a large drink at the theater is ginormous. And I usually pride myself on having great bladder control. Especially during a movie because I don’t want to miss anything. But this time I couldn’t survive, and I had to leave. So, whatever happens with JLo in Africa, I didn’t see it.

2. The theater was not full. Therefore people were not laughing at the funny  parts, making it awkward for me and the lady next to me who were quite loud with our laughter.

I thought each plot line was unique. The film covered numerous circumstances allowing a good amount of the audience to relate. But for those of us that cannot, it was still funny. The scene stealers for me were: Brooklyn Decker, Ben Falcone, and Rebel Wilson. Every scene they were in was hilarious.

The film is not all laughs though. There are some more serious and poignant  moments that allow the audience to connect with the characters on a deeper level, which makes the film even better.

I would definitely recommend it. And I don’t think it’s a chick flick. Everyone will enjoy it. So, go check it out.

Until next time…PEACE OUT!
