…that’s been a long time coming

Hey-yo!

I have not fallen off the face of the planet. I promise. It has taken me some time to settle into my new home. I know many of you have wanted to see the tour that I usually give. I’ll get around to that sometime in the near future. Here is the low down:

February I spent half the time in LA and the other up in Nor Cal.  Living so close to my family again, I needed to go and spend a good amount of time with them.

During that time I got two interviews and one panned out! I am now working reception at an Optometrists office in Santa Monica. The commute is the maximum of what I was looking for, but it is decent pay and I will get benefits after 3 months. Working in Santa Monica is really nice. Many times at lunch I take walks. I’m only 4 blocks from the Promenade and 7 from the ocean 🙂

I’ve had a few visitors in the last month. The Wagner’s came down for a weekend, my Aunt MaryAnn came for a lil’ visit, and then my sister was here for a few days. So, it has been a little chaotic. I am looking forward to a little bit of normalcy, but don’t think that’s going to happen. I guess my normalcy is not like others.

Next week I am going to Virginia for my cousin Melissa’s wedding. I am so fortunate that my new job is allowing me to go.

Church is OK. I really need to get on the ball with joining a group. Hopefully I will get my act together when I get back from my trip.

A fun thing I am looking forward to is Conan. I scored tickets for my friend David’s birthday. Four of us will be there on April 13th, so set those DVR’s. You might get to see us. Conan talks to his audience a lot.

I am loving So. Cal. Things are falling into place, further confirming my decision. Although, there are plenty of times that I miss Austin. I loved the two years I spent there, even the hard times.

I’m not going to end this post with a promise to write more. I want to, but we all know that sometimes the things we love, do not stay our priorities.

Thank you all for your continued love and support.

Until next time…PEACE OUT!
