It has taken me awhile to finally get on here and do another post…applying for jobs seems to be taking up most of my time in the evenings…OK, I admit…a little TV watching was in there too. Thank goodness for repeats around Christmas.
My first post about Austin is not actually a thing originating in Austin per se. But it is actually the reason I moved here in the first place. The Cagle Family: Josh, Amber, Caleb, and Cayden. It has been 6 amazing years of getting to live life everyday with them. They have become a part of my family. Amber and Josh are my big brother and sister and those AMAZING BOYS are my nephews.
Josh: What can I say…He changed the course of my life in one short summer of volunteer work. He has been one of my biggest spiritual mentors. I look up to him so much. I have seen him grow as a leader and I know this is where he is supposed to be. God is using him and his gifts in extraordinary ways in Round Rock and I cannot wait to see how Summit flourishes. It already is a blessing for Round Rock. We have a strong bond over the Fighting Irish and that will never change. One day we will go to a game in South Bend…we will make it happen 🙂 Thank you for always challenging me even when you didn’t know you were.
Amber: Has always been the best listener for me. She is one of very few people I I can be absolutely honest with on where I am. And she has been THE BIGGEST ENCOURAGER in my life next to my Mom. Award shows are our addiction…it is true. And we love to chat it up about the celebs. We like to buy the same clothes and swap Christmas sweaters. I will miss her great cooking…and her amazing baking. If you don’t this about her, you are missing out! But on a serious side, she is the best Pastor’s wife. And she is large reason why Summit has been so successful. She is a Super Mom. And one of the best friends anyone could ever have. LOVE YOU.
Caleb: This little man is a smart one. He is a great student. One thing we share in common is our enjoyment for reading. It has been my great pleasure to share my Goosebumps books with him. He has finished them all. One of my favorite things has been watching him excel as a baseball player. I have been a benchwarmer for him since he was in t-ball and now he is pitching and hitting those balls to the fence. Disneyland has been another common enjoyment. I so wish we had been filming when he got chosen to be in the Jedi Training Academy. It’s like he was born to do it! And our many date nights (with Cayden too) which always seem to end with a little time on the Wii (I rarely win) or a board game (I usually win). He is a sensitive soul and I pray he stays that way. He loves God and tries to share with everyone he comes into contact with.
Cayden: The little comedian. If you haven’t heard him yet, he can do some great impressions: Wall-e, Sid the Sloth, Eva, and so many more. I have known Cayden since he entered this world. My favorite times with him have been in the car belting out some Michael Jackson. Or even better, watching him dance to some MJ. He’s got skills. And I have never met another kid so serious about going to McDonald’s every time we go out to eat. He is the daredevil out of the two. Always need to keep an eye on him. We invented our own pound/shake…it’s legit 🙂 And he is still little enough to where I can grab and curl up with him to watch a cartoon. Great times.
The Cagle Family is AMAZING. They have left their mark on so many lives, and there are many more to come. Even though I am moving back to California, I know they will still be a big part of my life. I will come back to visit, they will come to Cali, and we will have Skype/phone dates. But it won’t be like the last 6 years. Six great years of my life.
LOVE & THANKS
Until next time…PEACE OUT!
