Team challenges are horrible. I don’t like them because I hated doing group projects in school. There are either too many people who want to be in charge or there is a bunch of slackers. There is rarely a happy medium.
The way the team luxe decided to do their line was interesting. Having people do different parts of a look I feel was a bad idea. And Gretchen put her hand in too many designs. She is a complete control freak. On a small note: I am not so sure it was fair to have the models do some of the work, but it’s not like it helped them win.
Runway
I did not like a lot of their pieces. I think they were ugly. I hated the colors. And I am glad the judges felt the same way that I did.
Sidenote about Gretchen: OMG where did that cry fest come from? And her speech is about unity was annoying. Her flip flopping about liking and not liking her own collection was ridiculous. Plus she went from unity to throwing Michael and everyone else under the bus. Why couldn’t she just shut up. She talked way too much (and Michael Kohrs agrees with me again).
The team work and cohesion on team military/lace worked out really well. Minus Casanova’s diva moment, which helped in the end to be the winner. But what was he wearing?! Lime green v neck sweater? I’m glad the underdogs won and shut down all the egos on team luxe.
Until next time…PEACE OUT!
Last few minutes = HOLY CRAP TIM GUNN! Way to call Gretchen out and tell it like it is! Has he ever done that? I loved it! He should do that more often.
