Project Runway 8/02

Sorry it took me so long to get this up. Having a job these days puts a damper on staying up late and blogging. And I had to re-watch the show to refresh my memory.

Week two was good. One question though. Are all the episodes going to be  90 min?

First up, Kristen’s comment about never breaking  a needle was annoying. No one cares. Stop trying to talk yourself up. Show it in your design. Of which I did not like this week.

Michael is still cracking me up. His shocked face when Tim didn’t like his jacket was classic. He should do it every week. And when he talked about Jason being creepy Psycho style, oh my. I was definitely laughing out loud.

I felt a little bit sad for Mondo’s breakdown, but at the same time I felt like he wasn’t trying very hard to get to know the others. It seems like he isolated himself on purpose. You gotta put yourself out there. At least hang out in the common area instead of going straight to your room.

This was a nerve-wracking week as one of my favorites was close to getting kicked off. Luckily Peach was saved in the end. I think one reason she was saved, even though her dress was horrible, is because the judges recognized that her garment was well made. The other reason is the fact she had made 2 other dresses before coming up with this one in a short amount of time. It showed she has talent. I just hope she chooses better fabric next week.

Jason’s dress was HORRIBLE. It may be one of the worse garments on the show. And he thinks it was impeccably sown. I would hate to see what not well sown looks to him. I’m glad he’s gone. I didn’t like him. Even if everyone says he can do men’s wear really well, that’s not what Project Runway is. And I was super annoyed in his interview when he told Tim to get off his back because he is in a “gay man’s world.” PUHLEAZE. Tim is there to help and critique. DUH! Be gone.

The shocker was they got rid of two people this week. Poor Nicholas, who thought everyone did well, ended up going home. And he was shocked to get kicked off because Jason was kicked off first. His crying was ridiculous though. This is going to be an interesting season if they are not giving themselves any guidelines on the amount of people they are allowed to eliminate each week.

Having your look on a billboard in Time Square is amazing. To have this as the prize so early in the season is rare. And I loved the addition of the photo shoot. It felt a little like Next Top Model. I do agree with the win going to Gretchen again. I liked her pants better than Valerie’s dress. And I liked Mondo’s outfit more than Valerie’s dress as well. But that’s just me 🙂

Until next time…PEACE OUT!

Most ridiculous quote of the week comes from Ivy, “It definitely makes me think that this is real. Someone is going to be sent home every week.” Um…that’s how the show goes, haha.
