My dreams occasionally include celebrities. I know I am not weird because Whitney from PopCandy has shared that she often has dreams with celebrities. Sometimes I have no idea where they come from. But last nights I know exactly why I had the dream.

The past two days have been all a buzz about John Mayer’s Playboy interview. I didn’t read the interview, but I’ve gotten a recap. This is not the first time Mayer has said dumb things. But it’s nice to know things may change. At his concert on Thursday night he apologized for what he said. It seemed heart-felt, honest, and sounded like he got a little emotional. With that being said, I had a couple of conversations about it, so that’s why he was in my dream. It went down like this:

John Mayer is my cousin. Not in real life, but in the dream. We were at a family reunion all hanging out. I hadn’t seen him in a while, since I moved from California, so we were catching up. I have tickets to his concert when he comes to Austin. My friend Alicia, who is going to the concert with me, was at the family reunion as well. She was in a basketball court, so I went to find her. We talked about the concert and I told her I was going to see if John would let us go backstage.

I went back to talk more to John. I told him that I was coming to see him next month when he was in Austin and wanted to know if he would be able to have dinner before. He told me he liked to take naps before he goes on. I looked to see what time he might be coming in town, but he is coming from Arizona, so he would be traveling all night and day to get to Austin in time for the show (have no idea if that is correct, but it’s a dream, haha).  Since lunch or dinner was not going to work out I ask if Alicia and I could go backstage after the show to say hello. He agreed and says he’ll get us the passes. SWEET!

Unfortunately my dream did not fast forward to the concert. But if it does in the future I will post the second half of the dream.
