I know today is Tuesday which means music, but I’m switching my Tuesday for Friday because I need to talk about TV tonight.
Holy Moly! The time has come. I just…well more like 2hrs ago…finished watching the last première episode of “Lost.” I am a huge fan of the show. I have not been watching since day one. I began watching the DVDs 4 years ago. Season 5 was the first one I watched live on TV. I seriously thought about not watching it live because it is so difficult to wait a whole week until the next episode. Yes, it is one of those types of shows.
Reasons I like lost? It is a sci-fi show, but it is not blatantly sci-fi. How do they get such a large following for a show like this? It is character driven. Each episode usually focuses on one character, their back story, or future, or present circumstances; making the viewer feel like they know them.
This is not a show that you can jump in and figure it all out. If you have not watched it, but are intrigued, I would say GREAT! But start with season 1. Every episode has vital information and minute details for the mythology. Even with watching the entire first 5 seasons again, over the past few months, I was picking up on things I didn’t catch the first time. Just like certain books, its great to go back for a second look to see the foreshadowing that you missed.
If you are not a viewer you can stop reading now…I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone and the rest may bore you 🙂
2HRS of bliss. We should tell Lindelof and Cuse every episode can be 2hrs. Right after the show I went to my favorite blog PopCandy. There is a forum for all Losties. They helped light up a few light bulbs for me, but some of them still have their bulbs out.
One huge bulb that is not solved are the two timelines. I have no idea what’s going on. Are the 2004 and 2007 timeline’s going to merge at some point? That would mean they would all have to find some way to get back to the island throughout the season. Very intriguing. And hurts my head to think about.
Like John Locke, Sayid has now become the Jesus figure. Last season John had to die and “sacrifice” himself for the island. At least that’s what Ben, Christian, and the man in black (fans call him MIB), who had taken over his body, had told him. With Sayid dying and Jacob dead, Jacob decides to use the loophole that MIB found. Sayid is drowned, comes out with arms open wide, very Christ like, and then rises from the dead. But it’s not him, it’s actually Jacob. The future battle of good and evil will ensue, “Locke” vs “Sayid” which in reality is Jacob vs MIB.
We also got confirmation tonight that MIB has always been the smoke monster. Nice to have that cleared up.
MIB commented to Richard about being free of his chains. The buzz is that Richard was originally on the Black Pearl.
Mysteries still unsolved:
Why was Desmond on the plane?
What happened to Christian’s body?
Where did the “others” at the temple come from, besides the flight attendant from flight 815 and the kids?
How did Juliette know that it worked?
THE NUMBERS!
Where is MIB’s home? The temple?
Why are the futures of those on the plane changed already? i.e. Shannon not coming on the plane
I have a million more questions in my head, but I can’t put them all on here. And some of them you forget until it gets addressed in the show again.
If you are fan, feel free to use the comments to discuss. What are your theories? I would love to hear them.
Until next time…PEACE OUT!

what happened to the Grammy’s post?
It’s up…I was just so excited after “Lost” last night I had to post about that.
