It has been about a month since my last post. I took a holiday trip back to California for 10 days. It was a wonderful time with family and friends; very relaxing for once. For those of you that read my blog that I was not able to see when I was there, I will be back in NorCal in May for my beautiful friend Brianne’s wedding and the amazing senior class of 2010’s graduation.
For this last month I have brainstormed what to do with my blog. As I said in my last post I really want to jump back into writing. While on vacation I did some brainstorming, picked few close friends brains for advice and found a few “writer’s magazines” to immerse myself in the culture. I collected bits of informative tips to apply to not only my blog, but other projects I want to do in the future. Along with that I realized I needed to do somewhat of an overhaul on my blog.
My goal for the year of 2010 is to write at least 5 days a week. I am making a schedule for not only for myself, but for my readers, whoever you are, to keep me accountable.
Mondays: Movies. It will be anything from a new film in theaters to a classic that I have never seen, but should have a long time ago.
Tuesday: New Music. Tuesdays are when music artists release their new albums. Almost every week at least one band/artist that I enjoy, releasing if not an entire album either an EP or a single. But for those random weeks that there is nothing new I care about I will highlight a lesser known artist that my ears have fallen in love with.
Wednesdays: Current Events. There are millions of stories that happen in our world everyday. This post will vary from week to week. Some days it will be a thoughtful piece with multiple implications for society as a whole, while other days it will be a story about an idiot criminal, something to give you a little chuckle.
Thursdays: Spiritual. I am hoping to use Thursday’s as a format to share something a little more personal–what God is teaching me. It could be something that stood out when reading my Bible, a lesson I learned from the Esther study I am doing, a light bulb that switched on when I was talking with one of my mentors, or a worship song that really speaks to my heart.
Fridays: TV. Most of the TV I watch is Sunday-Thursday. I will highlight my favorite/least episode/show of the week. With Lost and American Idol starting up, those two shows may dominate Friday’s, but I will try to throw in a little Amazing Race, Community, The Office and any other new shows I may start watching.
Weekends: I won’t post both Saturday and Sunday, but I am reserving these days for books that I finish, concerts I attend, trips I go on, and everything else 🙂
Time to take the New Year on…full steam ahead. Let’s do this!
Until next time…PEACE OUT!
I’m stoked!!!
