This month has been a whirlwind…I can’t believe it’s almost over already. My lack of posts have been the result of constant company and the launching of the church. But hopefully I will be getting back on schedule. Just to give you a quick update on what’s been going on.
At the beginning of Sept. a student that I am very close with from Cali came out for a visit. It was so good to see her and show her my new life in TX. We had a lot of fun.

Carmen is an amazing girl with a huge heart and I can’t wait to see what she does in her last year of high school.
Then my mom came out. It was so good to have her here for a week. She helped with little things for the church, was a great support, took me grocery shopping, and had a good time hanging out. I miss her a lot. But she said when she was out here that she would come to visit 4 times a year, so that means the beginning of December she should be coming back out…we’ll see if that really happens.
While my mom was here we launched Summit Community Church. It was awesome. We had around 100 people in service and around 60 kids in the children’s area. Josh did a great job with the message and a lot of people stuck around after to have lunch with us. We also had quite a few people from California out for the service. It was so great to have that support and see them all. My cousin from Killeen also came and it was so nice to hang out with them for a little bit.
Last week was our second service and we had about 60 people in the service and 40 kids. This was a great turn out because statistics show that you will have half or less return, so this was very encouraging. Things ran a lot smoother of course for the second service. Can’t wait to see how the third service goes.
Last Wednesday night 2 guys from Cali flew in for a visit. I’ve known Joe and Michael since they were in elementary school. They have been friends with my sister and they were in our student ministry as well. They call me mom and I call them my sons. It was so great that they came out for a visit. We did so much-ate so much-I still have a constant feeling of being full.

They really got to experience so much of Austin, but there is still so much more that we didn’t get to do. So much to do here, I love it!
This week I am trying to get back into a routine. I have no visitors scheduled until Thanksgiving, so we will see how that goes. Thank you for your patience with the lack of posts. Like I said, I am hoping to get back into the swing of things, so be on the lookout for the next post sometime soon. Until next time…PEACE OUT!
