I finished it! Finally! So glad it’s done. I know it is a classic and there are so many people who love it, but I did not.
It had nothing to do with the writing or the time in which the story is told. I like literature. I just could not stand the characters. I didn’t love anyone. I literally hated every character. And I don’t think that’s what the author wanted. When reading I would like to enjoy at least one character throughout the book.
My next read is going to be Jane Eyre.
Hopefully I will enjoy the other sister’s writing more. If not, my summer reading is going to be a bust so far and I will be really bummed.
I’m still working on 3 other books for church stuff. I am going to try and finish another one of those before I start Jane.
I’ve heard from a few of you on fb about Wuthering Heights. Did anyone else feel the same way I did or are there only lovers? Has anyone read Jane Eyre? Did you like it? Please enlighten me 🙂

Came across your blog while searching Tyrone Wells’ new album. I’m a Cali girl that moved to Alaska, and made a blog. I read Jane Eyre in college and loved it. It’s long. And there’s some chapters that you’d like to skip over (and probably could, lol). But it has a really neat twist in the middle. There’s also a couple of movie versions. It might help to watch the movie as you read along. Wuthering Heights is on my summer reading list this year. Maybe I’ll like it. We’ll see.
