Hello all! It has been a little time since my last post and I am stuck in the Phoenix airport for another 3 hours probably, so I thought I would come on here and update the blog since I have so much time to kill. This last week I got to spend some time in California. And let me tell you, it was quite a whirlwind. I don’t think I have eaten that much in a long time. Here’s the thing. When you want to get together and visit with someone you usually go to coffee, for yo, lunch, or dinner. And I pretty much filled everyday with each of those with someone different. I also fit in two movies: Night at the Museum & Up!. Night at the Museum was really good. I loved it. I liked Up! too, but it was sad. Not expecting that.
OK, back to my hectic schedule, even though I booked my days so tight there were still people that I did not get a chance to see or visit with as much as I would have liked, so if you were one of those I apologize. But I think that would be the case no matter how long I spent in Cali. If you would like to see me you should come out for a visit 🙂 I will be returning to Cali for a short trip in August for my friend Craig’s wedding. I will be going to the State Fair on Friday the 21st, so if you want to go let me know. David Cook is playing that night and that is the main reason I am going. And that will be the only day to see anyone because then I will be up in Reno. And the next time I will be in Cali after that is Christmas, so it’s gonna be awhile.
Wednesday ended up being one of the craziest days. One thing that was a bummer about my week in Cali was the weather. I checked the forecast and it came up 80’s all week. I was so excited. It was going to be perfect weather. Cali is pretty predictable with weather stuff. But that was all about to change. It’s like I brought the Texas weather with me. It ended up raining and being cold for a few days. I of course really didn’t bring anything clothes wise for this, so that sucked. And on Wednesday there was a crazy storm. Like the ones in Texas. There was lightning from about 8pm-3:30am. It was so cool! That does not happen in Cali. Unfortunately that was the night where I took my mom to the hospital. No worries, she is fine, but she was feeling dizzy for 5 days and thought she might need a blood transfusion. Needless to say we got there 9:30pm, I was relieved by my sis at 3am and at 6am they got home finally after the Dr.’s found nothing wrong with her.
The main reason for me coming to Cali this week was to see my cousin Jordan graduate from high school. It was great to get to be there for that. He is very close to my heart, and when I left for Texas he asked if I was coming back for his grad…how could I refuse. It was so nice to get to see my family again. Family is probably the thing I miss the most about not being in Cali. My family is really tight knit and we usually do everything together. That’s how we Italians roll. Every birthday and holiday is an excuse to eat, get together, eat, hang out… and did I say eat? There is never a lack of food.
This week, I get to work, which I am really excited about. I have an Express game lined up to go to on Thursday and then my friend Steph comes in! I cannot wait! Alright, I think I’m going to go read Wutherning Height’s for awhile since I still have over 2 hrs to go. Sorry no pics on this one, I’m a little limited. But I got a new camera thanks to my mom and step-dad for birthday, so the photos will be comin’ again soon. Until next time…PEACE OUT!
