Hello everyone! This has been a fun weekend so far. Some friends of the Cagle’s and mine, the Guglielmo’s, are in town. It was a nice to catch up last night and we got to take them to the Hula Hut for lunch–side note: I am feeling better from my sickness, but I am still not a 100%, maybe tomorrow 🙂 Tonight I am staying in with the kids while the “oldies,” jk, go out on the town.
Tomorrow is a big day. Tonight’s post will be short, but I wanted to ask for some prayer. Tomorrow we are going out into the community and surveying. What that means is that our core team will be going door to door asking people questions. Here are an example of some of the questions we will be asking:
1. What are some needs of this community? 2. If you were looking at going to a church, what would you look for?
The actual idea of asking people questions is not that big of a deal to me. My first major was journalism, and I did newspaper throughout junior high and high school, so I actually like interviewing people. The difference with this though is that people are not exactly “ready” to be interviewed. And even more so, the questions we are asking are about church. Of course we are not going door to door asking them to become a Christian, but anything about religion usually sparks some sort of an emotion, and for the most part it is negative. I know how I am when anyone comes to my door. I either don’t answer or I cut the conversation real short and tell them I am not interested, so I am really hoping that tomorrow people will react differently than me.
We are meeting up at 10am tomorrow, and we will survey for two hours. So, if you could pray for that time for those of us surveying to have the courage and to have the words to communicate clearly. And also for those that we come into contact with, that they would be open to talking with us and answering our questions. Thanks so much!
I’m sure my blog tomorrow will have some interesting stories to tell, so look forward to that. I am now off to watch 24 on DVD 🙂 So until next time…PEACE OUT!

So by “survey” you mean look for your future husband? You should go out on the town and party. Bring Caleb with. Ask him if Chameleon is chillin on a branch. I’ll pray for y’all. (Is that how you say it in Texas now?)
